M&J’s outdoor wedding at Whispering Springs

I drove up to Whispering Springs in Grafton, Ontario for Madelyn and Josh’s beautiful wedding day. This lovely couple combined with the beautiful scenery at this venue was so amazing. This venue has a gorgeous forests, ponds, trails and beautiful tents that make every part of this venue so charming. Madelyn and Josh along with their wedding parties got ready in these gorgeous tents, that bring glamping to a whole new level. We started off by doing getting ready photos of Madelyn and her bridesmaids, I love the getting ready portion of the wedding days because there are so many great opportunities for capturing candid photos. Madelyn did a first look with her bridesmaids and their reactions were absolutely priceless. Before the ceremony, Madelyn and Josh also read letters that they wrote to each other and I like to step back and capture the smiles on their faces as they read their letters.

Their ceremony was held in the forest chapel, it was such a peaceful area. The cleared space in the forest surrounded by the massive trees gives the photos such a dramatic and moody vibe. I love how you can see the excitement in Madelyn and Josh’s faces as the ceremony was happening.

After the family and wedding party photos, it started raining just as we started doing the bride and groom portraits. A lot of people worry about rain on their wedding day but we were able to get the most romantic images of them out in the rain! I had Madelyn and Josh get in a canoe and with the rain drops in the photos it really gave me “The Notebook” vibes.

For the rest of the evening I captured lots of candid photos of guests hanging out by the fire, dancing, enjoying speeches, playing lawn games and wandering the property. It was such a beautiful day and I loved working with these two!
